La conception polymorphe du roman et l’intertextualité générique définissent l’œuvre de Georges Perec qui par son écriture interroge et combine les genres, les codes et les modèles afin de préserver la singularité de chacune de ses œuvres. Parmi ses romans W ou le souvenir d’enfance, œuvre inclassable qui alterne la fiction et le récit d’enfance, a été objet d’une rédaction très difficile que les documents génétiques peuvent éclaircir. Nous nous proposons de réfléchir sur le processus de re-fonctionnalisation du roman d’aventures W, paru en feuilleton dans La Quinzaine littéraire avant d’être englobé dans le grand projet autobiographique de Perec.
The polymorphic concept of the novel and the intertextuality of the literary genres characterize the work of Georges Perec, whose writing looks into different genres, codes and models and combines them in order to preserve the singularity of each of his works. Among these W ou le souvenir d’enfance, an unclassifiable novel that alternates fiction and childhood memories, has been the result of a very difficult writing process, that genetic documents can only partly clear up. We propose to reflect on the process of re-functionalization of the adventure novel W, which appeared before as a serialized text in the journal La Quinzaine littéraire and was then integrated into the great autobiographical project of Perec.
